The 10 Jr Bucs White team traveled to Chippewa Falls, WI for their first B division tournament after winning their 1st 4 C tournaments. The team battled an amazing Hayward Youth Hockey team losing their 1st game by a score of 8-2. The Jr Bucs rebounded from the lose and beat the Milwaukee Winter Club Youth Hockey 3-2 after over an hour delay due to Ice issues. Des Moines played for 5th place against Rice Lake Youth Hockey team and lost 3-2 in a barn burner. With 45 seconds left, Rice Lake called a timeout and Des Moines pulled their goalie allowing for the them to score with 40 seconds left. For the last 40 seconds, the Jr Bucs kept the puck in their offensive zone, putting multiple shots on goals but falling short in the end to tie it up. The boys learned a lot over this tournament to include how to lose, how to bounce back from a loss, and how much fun a good competition can be. The Jr Bucs are back in action at the RoughRiders Challenge Cup Tournament January  20-22, 2023 against Peoria, Des Moines Blue and Lincoln.
