DD Hockey Academy
Led by former 14-year professional player and professional coach Derek Damon, DD Hockey Academy is designed to help players elevate their skating, sharpen their skills, and improve their hockey IQ in a focused, high-energy training environment.
This summer, we will be offering three camp options all held at the MidAmerican RecPlex:
3. July Weekend Camp-July 17-19 (4 hrs on ice)
Designed to sharpen skills before fall evaluations and the upcoming season.

TK Hockey
TK Hockey Elite Development Camp, led by Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL) coaches Kevin Schmidt and Tommy Cogan, is a competitive training camp designed for players looking to elevate their skating, puck control, and game performance. Held August 17–21, 2026, at the MidAmerican RecPlex in West Des Moines, the camp runs daily from 8:30 AM–2:30 PM and includes 10 hours of ice time, 5 hours of off-ice strength and conditioning, mental performance sessions, and individualized coaching. Cost is $550.

DSM Capitals pre tryout clinic
Get ready for the DMYHA tryouts with the Capitals!
Whether you’re a 10U, 12U, or 14U player, this clinic is designed to help you sharpen your skills, boost your confidence, and get ready to hit the ice with the Capitals coaches and players before the DMYHA tryouts.
The clinic offers 4-hour on-ice training sessions, featuring high-intensity drills that cater to all skill levels.
The cost of the clinic is $180.
The clinic will be held on August 16-19, 2026, at the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex.
Here are the specific times for each age group:
August 16, 2026:
- 10U: 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
- 12U: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- 14U: 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm
August 17-19, 2026:
- 10U: 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- 12U: 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm
- 14U: 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
