DMYHA Summer skills training

The DMYHA summer skills training registration is available via the link below. All sessions will be led by DMYHA skills director, Tony Weil.

Below is a flyer with information on the clinics offered and the schedule with dates/times. Space is limited to 24 skaters per group.

Bachman Elite Hockey

Bachman Elite Hockey will be running a 6-week on-ice development camp led by former NHL goaltender and professional hockey coach Richard Bachman.

The program is designed for travel level hockey players. Development principles instructed over 18 ice sessions that incorporate speed and edge work, decision-making, high-tempo skill drills, and situational awareness. All done while cultivating a love for the game of hockey. 

Players will train in two groups:

10U / 12U Players

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

14U / 16U Players

9:15 AM – 10:15 AM

Age group based off next 2026-27 season

Program Dates

June 2 – July 16

*No ice the week of July 4th

DD Hockey Academy

Led by former 14-year professional player and professional coach Derek Damon, DD Hockey Academy is designed to help players elevate their skating, sharpen their skills, and improve their hockey IQ in a focused, high-energy training environment.

This summer, we will be offering three camp options all held at the MidAmerican RecPlex:


1. May/June Development Camp-6 weeks, Wednesday's 4:15-5:15 pm starts May 6.

This multi-week camp is ideal for players looking for consistent skill progression and detailed instruction heading into the summer season.


2. June Weekend Camp-June 26-28 (4 hrs on ice)

A high-tempo weekend focused on skating mechanics, puck control, edge work, and game-speed skill application.


3. July Weekend Camp-July 17-19 (4 hrs on ice)

Designed to sharpen skills before fall evaluations and the upcoming season.
