MISSION for girls hockey within DMYHA
Our goal is to:
- Provide a safe, affordable and fun environment for girls to learn the sport of hockey and enhance their skills
- Increase participation at all age levels
- Build a strong, viable girls hockey program
We’re thrilled to officially begin registration for the 2026-2027 Lady Wild Girls Hockey season, and we can’t wait to see our program continue to grow!
As our girls hockey community expands, so do the opportunities. While growth brings new challenges, our commitment remains the same: to provide an environment centered on player development, competitiveness, commitment, and most importantly FUN!
We anticipate offering teams across multiple age divisions and encourage all interested players to register for tryouts. Registering early helps us determine team sizes and ensure we can provide the best experience possible for every player.
Because interest in our program continues to grow, some age divisions may require a competitive selection process similar to DMYHA - Jr. Bucs bid process and evaluations. However, our goal is to create opportunities for as many girls as possible. During tryouts we evaluate the skaters to be sure they are ready for a competitive team. Coaches and evaluators (if needed) will be observing the player's basic skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. If a player does not have these basic skills, we find they struggle on a competitive team, which leads to frustration for the player and the team.
Depending on registration numbers and skill levels, additional options may include practice players, substitute players, or placement on alternative Lady Wild teams that best support each athlete’s development.

• 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM: 8U & 10U
• 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: 12U & 14U
Tuesday, August 25
• 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM: 10U
Wednesday, August 26
• 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM: 12U
• 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: 14U
Thursday, August 27
• 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM: 8U
